Friday Night Challenge

First Friday of the Fall Fitness Challenge. Weekends can make or break your diet, especially if you are chasing weight loss or body recomposition goals. Booze, social meals, eating out, staying up late, and the association of a weekend with treating yourself can all lead you astray. Fighting illness and generally have no energy. This morning, I went to the gym for a workout that involved weighted pull-ups and used my 5 lb. ankle weights. I realized when I put the weights on that I’ve been carrying them around with me since age 19. In fact, it occurred to me that I’ve spent my entire life trying to get fit. Basically, from grade 3 or age 8 on. And weekends, yes, they mess me up. But, not this weekend. I am in a challenge and determined to see it through.

A new playlist was made tonight. Plan to hit gym in the morning, early before group classes, hopefully, won’t be sick and unable to make it.
